China: Chrysanthemum festival draws visitors to Taoranting Park

The 4th Chrysanthemum Culture Festival at Taoranting Park is now in full swing. Themed flower beds line the route from the East Gate to the North Gate, with chrysanthemum flowers in a variety of colors in full bloom.

In front of Cuiwei Pavilion at Fragrant Hills Park, more than 900 square meters of chrysanthemum plants are blooming with tiny golden flowers and dainty leaves. Fenglin Village has a 700-square-meter flower meadow, where small chrysanthemum flowers, pearl millet and crabapple blossoms sway in the breeze.

A newly developed green space just south of the East Gate of Zizhuyuan Park is filled with colorful pompon chrysanthemum flowers. Along the paths, the blossoms form a meandering belt of colors.

In the Paiyun Hall area of the Summer Palace, chrysanthemum flowers are arranged with classical display stands and distinctive containers, bringing autumn colors and traditional charm together. The Gengzhitu scenic area features Chinese-style floral landscapes, providing a new scene at every turn along the path.

The chrysanthemum exhibitions at the Temple of Heaven Park, Beihai Park and Zizhuyuan Park are set to open soon. Hundreds of varieties will be on display to add dazzling colors to Beijing's autumn.
