In the fourth quarter of 2025, the average price of fertilizers and soil amendments in the European Union rose 8.0% compared to the same quarter in 2024.

Fertilizer prices surged in 2021 and 2022 before falling back in 2023 and 2024, then climbed again for four consecutive quarters in 2025.

In the final quarter of 2025, prices increased in 24 of the EU's 27 member states. The sharpest rises were recorded in Romania (+16.8%), Ireland (+15.3%), and the Netherlands (+12.1%). Prices fell in Bulgaria (-6.1%), Croatia, and Lithuania (both -0.2%).
