A supplier of side profiles for greenhouse growing tables has been ordered by the court to pay damages to a flower grower. The case concerned deliveries made back in 2010. The supplier disputed that the delivery was faulty and argued that, since the grower used the benches for many years, there could be no question of financial loss. The supplier also claimed that the grower bore part of the responsibility.
The court did not accept these arguments. It pointed to holes that had developed in the growing tables and corrosion caused under normal EC levels used in the grower's flower production in Israel.
The judge has now ruled that the supplier must pay the equivalent of around €200,000 in damages, as well as covering the legal costs. The verdict was published by the Amsterdam District Court on 25 July 2025.
